Hadith 940
940 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: ثنا مُجَالِدٌ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «كَيْفَ بِكَ إِذَا أَقْبَلَتِ الظَّعِينَةُ مِنْ أَقْصَي الْيَمَنِ إِلَي قُصُورِ الْحِيرَةِ لَا تَخَافُ إِلَّا اللَّهَ» ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، فَكَيْفَ بِطَيِّئٍ مَقَانِبِهَا وَرِجَالِهَا، قَالَ: «يَكْفِيهَا اللَّهُ طَيِّئًا وَمَنْ سِوَاهَا» قَالَ مُجَالِدٌ: «فَلَقَدْ كَانَتِ الظَّعِينَةُ تَخْرُجُ مِنْ حَضْرَمَوْتَ حَتَّي تَأْتِيَ الْحِيرَةَ»
Sayyiduna ‘Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “What will your condition be when a woman will travel from a far-off region of Yemen and reach the palaces of ‘Hirah’, and she will fear none but Allah Almighty?” I submitted: O Messenger of Allah! What will become of the robbers and (bandit) people of the Tayy tribe at that time? The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “For that woman, Allah Almighty will suffice regarding the Tayy tribe and all other people.” The narrator named Mujahid says: (A time also came) when a woman would set out from “Hadramawt” and reach “Hirah.”
