936 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الْمِنْهَالِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ إِيَاسَ بْنَ عَبْدٍ الْمُزَنِيَّ، وَرَأَي أُنَاسًا يَبِيعُونَ الْمَاءَ، فَقَالَ: لَا تَبِيعُوا الْمَاءَ، فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ «يَنْهَي عَنْ بَيْعِ الْمَاءِ» قَالَ عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ: «وَلَا أَدْرِي أَيَّ مَاءٍ هُوَ»
It is narrated about Sayyiduna Iyas bin Abd Muzani (may Allah be pleased with him) that he saw some people selling water, so he said: Do not sell water, for I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbidding the sale of water. Amr bin Dinar says: I do not know which type of water is meant by this?
