Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Azhar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: On the occasion of the Battle of Hunayn, Sayyiduna Khalid bin Walid (may Allah be pleased with him) was wounded. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by me while I was a young boy at that time. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was saying: "Who will take me to the residence of Khalid bin Walid?" So I ran ahead of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I kept saying: Who will take (the Prophet) to the residence of Sayyiduna Khalid bin Walid (may Allah be pleased with him)? Until the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) reached him, and he was sitting leaning against the saddle at that time. He had been wounded. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sat with him and prayed for mercy for him. (The narrator says) I think these words are also in the narration: "The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ruqyah for him (or applied his blessed saliva to him)."
