916 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مَالِكَ بْنَ مِغْوَلٍ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ عَوْنَ بْنَ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: خَرَجَ بِلَالٌ بِفَضْلِ وَضُوءِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: فَابْتَدَرَهُ النَّاسُ فَأَصَبْتُ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا وَلَمْ آلُ، قَالَ: وَنَصَبَ بِلَالٌ عَنَزَةً، «فَصَلَّي إِلَيْهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَإِنَّ الْكَلْبَ، وَالْمَرْأَةَ، وَالْحِمَارَ، يَمُرُّونَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ»
‘Awn bin Abu Juhaifah narrates from his father: Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) came out with the leftover water from the ablution of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The narrator says: People rushed towards him. I also received some of that water. I did not fall short in taking it. The narrator states: Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) planted a spear, so the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) faced towards it and performed prayer, while dogs, women, and donkeys were passing on the other side of that spear.
