Sayyiduna Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) or Sayyiduna Ibn Mu'adh Taymi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed the people at Mina to camp at their respective places of stay, so the Muhajirun and Ansar camped in their specific valleys. The narrator states: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) taught the people the rites of Hajj. The narrator says: Allah opened our hearing, so while staying at our place of encampment, we heard the voice of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). Among the teachings the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave us was this: He said, "When you throw pebbles at the Jamrah, do so with a pebble that fits between your fingers."
