Hadith 855
855 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: ثنا ابْنُ جُدْعَانَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ، «نَشَدَ النَّاسَ مَنْ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَضَي فِي الْجَدِّ بِشَيْءٍ» ، فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ، فَقَالَ: «أَنَا أَشْهَدُ أَنَّهُ أَعْطَاهُ الثُّلُثَ» ، فَقَالَ: مَعَ مَنْ؟، قَالَ: لَا أَدْرِي، قَالَ: لَا دَرَيْتَ
Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) made the people swear an oath, asking: Who has heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) give a ruling regarding the grandfather? Then a man stood up and said: I bear witness that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave him one third. Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) asked: With whom? He replied: I do not know. So Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Then you do not know.
