Hadith 844
844 - وَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: «الصَّدَقَةُ عَلَي الْمِسْكِينِ صَدَقَةٌ، وَهِيَ عَلَي ذِي الرَّحِمِ الْمِسْكينِ ثِنْتَانِ صَدَقَةٌ وَصِلَةٌ»
(Sayyiduna Salman bin Amir, may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "Giving charity to a poor person is simply charity, but giving charity to a poor relative has two aspects: charity and maintaining family ties."
