825 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ جَرِيرٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا أَبِقَ الْعَبْدُ إِلَي أَرْضِ الْعَدُوِّ، فَقَدْ بَرِئَتْ مِنْهُ ذِمَّةُ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ»
Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a runaway slave goes towards the land of the enemy, then Allah's protection is lifted from him."
