782 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ قَيْسَ بْنَ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ الْمُغِيرَةَ بْنَ شُعْبَةَ، يَقُولُ: مَا سَأَلَ أَحَدٌ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الدَّجَّالِ، مَا سَأَلْتُهُ، قَالَ: وَمَا مَسْأَلَتُكَ عَنْهُ؟ «إِنَّكَ لَنَ تُدْرِكَهُ»
Sayyiduna Mughirah bin Shu’bah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: No one asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) as many questions about the Dajjal as I did. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “What need do you have to ask about him? You will not reach him (or you will not find his time).”
