Hadith 781
781 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ الْعَقَّارِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: «لَمْ يَتَوَكَّلْ مَنِ اسْتَرْقَي وَاكْتَوَي»
Aqar bin Mughira narrates from his father that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever practices ruqyah (spiritual healing), cauterization, or branding does not rely (on Allah)."
