Hadith 734
734 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: ثنا يَزِيدُ أَبُو خَالِدٍ الدَّالَانِيُّ، وَمِسْعَرُ بْنُ كِدَامٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ السَّكْسَكِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَي، أَنَّ رَجُلًا، قَالَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: عَلِّمْنِي يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا أَقُولُهُ يُجْزِئُنِي مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ، وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ، وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ» قَالَ سُفْيَانُ: لَا أَعْلَمُ، إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ: قَالَ: «وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abi Awfa (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man presented himself before the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! Teach me something that I may recite, which will suffice me in place of reciting the Qur'an. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: Recite this. «سبحان الله والحمدلله ولا اله الاالله والله اكبر». Sufyan says: I do not know, however, perhaps he also said these words «ولا حول ولاقوة الا بالله».
