Hadith 726
726 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: ثنا أَيُّوبُ السِّخْتِيَانِيُّ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَي، عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ، قَالَ: مَرَّ بِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْحُدَيْبِيَةِ وَأَنَا أُوقِدُ تَحْتَ قِدْرٍ أَوْ بُرْمَةٍ، وَالْقُمَّلُ يَتَهَافَتُ مِنْ رَأْسِي، فَقَالَ: «أَيُؤْذِيكَ هَوَامُّكَ يَا كَعْبُ» ، قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: «فَاحْلِقْ رَأْسَكَ، وَأَنْسِكْ نَسيكَةً، أَوْ صُمْ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ، أَوْ أَطْعِمْ فِرْقًا بَيْنَ سِتَّةِ مَسَاكِينَ»
Sayyiduna Ka'b bin 'Ujrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passed by me at Hudaybiyyah while I was lighting a fire under a pot, and lice were falling from my head. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "O Ka'b! Are the lice causing you trouble?" I replied: Yes. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Shave your head and offer a sacrifice, or fast for three days, or feed six needy people one 'farq' of food. (This is equal to twelve mudd.)"
