Hadith 710
710 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: ثنا مِسْعَرٌ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ سِمَاكَ الْحَنَفيَّ، يَقُولُ: سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ فِي الْبَيْتِ، فَقَالَ: «صَلِّ فِيهِ فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ صَلَّي فِيهِ، وَسَيَأْتِي آخَرُ فَيْنَهَاكَ فَلَا تُطِعْهُ» فَأَتَيْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ فَسَأَلْتُهُ، فَقَالَ: «ائْتَمَّ بِهِ كُلِّهِ، وَلَا تَجْعَلْ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا خَلْفَكَ»
Simak Hanafi narrates: I asked Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) about performing prayer inside the Ka'bah, so he replied: You may perform prayer in it, because the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed prayer in it. Soon, there will come a person who will forbid you from it, so do not obey him. (The narrator says:) I went to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) and asked him about this issue: he said: Follow all of its sides and do not leave any part of it behind you. (That is, perform prayer facing every direction inside it.)
