Hadith 687
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) saying to a couple performing li'an (mutual cursing): "The reckoning of both of you is with Allah, one of you is a liar, but now (you, meaning the man) have no right over this woman." The man said: O Messenger of Allah! My wealth, my wealth. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You will not get any wealth. If you have spoken the truth about this woman, then this wealth is the compensation for that which made her private parts lawful for you, and if you have falsely accused her, then she will become even more distant from you." (The narrator is unsure about one word here.)
