652 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي لَبِيدٍ، وَكَانَ مِنْ عُبَّادِ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: «لَا يَغْلِبَنَّكُمُ الْأَعْرَابُ عَلَي اسْمِ صَلَاتِكُمُ الْعِشَاءِ، فَإِنَّمَا هِيَ الْعِشَاءُ، وَإِنَّمَا يُسَمُّونَهَا الْعَتَمَةَ؛ لِأَنَّهُمْ يُعْتِمُونَ عَنِ الْإِبِلِ» ، أَوْ قَالَ: «بِالْإِبِلِ» قَالَ سُفْيَانُ: «هَكَذَا قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي لَبِيدٍ بِالشَّكِّ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "The Bedouins should not overpower you regarding the name of your prayer; it is 'Isha. They call it 'Atamah, because at that time they finish their work with the camels." (In one word here, the narrator is in doubt.) Sufyan says: Ibn Abu Labid narrated it in this way, with doubt.
