Hadith 639
Salim narrates from his father: A man stood before the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and asked him: What clothes can a person in Ihram wear? The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "He should not wear a shirt, turban, trousers, cap, or any cloth that has been dyed with saffron or wars. He should not wear leather socks, but if he does not find shoes, then the ruling is different. Whoever does not find shoes should cut the leather socks so that they come below the ankles."
