Hadith 595
أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّيْخُ الْإِمَامُ الْعَالِمُ الزَّاهِدُ الْحَافِظُ تَقِيُّ الدِّينِ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ الْغَنِيِّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ سُرُورٍ الْمَقْدِسِيُّ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَقِيهُ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ سَعْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نَصْرِ بْنِ الدَّجَّاجِيِّ الْفَقِيهُ الْوَاعِظُ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا الْإِمَامُ أَبُو مَنْصُورٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْمُقْرِئُ الْخَيَّاطُ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ عَبْدُ الْغَفَّارِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ الْمُؤَدِّبُ قِرَاءَةُ عَلَيْهِ وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ فِي سَنَةِ سَبْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ وَأَرْبَعِمِائَةٍ، فَأَقَرَّ بِهِ قَالَ: ثنا بِشْرٌ قَالَ:
Sheikh, Imam, scholar, ascetic, memorizer, Taqi al-Din Abu Muhammad Abd al-Ghani ibn Abd al-Wahid ibn Ali ibn Surur al-Maqdisi informed us, he said: The jurist Abu al-Hasan Sa'd Allah ibn Nasr ibn al-Dajjaji, the jurist, the preacher, informed us, he said: Imam Abu Mansur Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Ali al-Muqri' al-Khayyat informed us, he said: Abu Tahir Abd al-Ghaffar ibn Muhammad ibn Ja'far ibn Zayd al-Mu'addib informed us, reading to him while I was listening in the year twenty-seven and four hundred, and he acknowledged it, he said: Bishr narrated to us, he said:
595 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: ثنا عَطَاءُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ، قَالَ: جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَي النَّبِيِّ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، جِئْتُ أُبَايِعُكَ عَلَي الْهِجْرَةِ وَتَرَكْتُ أَبَوَيَّ يَبْكِيَانِ، قَالَ: «فَارْجِعْ إِلَيْهِمَا وَأَضْحِكْهُمَا كَمَا أَبْكَيْتَهُمَا» ،
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He said: O Messenger of Allah! I have come to you to pledge allegiance to you for migration, and I have left my parents weeping. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Go back to them and make them laugh just as you made them weep."
