Hadith 574
Abdullah bin Harith narrates: During the caliphate of Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him), my father married me off. He invited people for a wedding feast (walima) for us, and among those who came to us was Sayyiduna Safwan bin Umayyah (may Allah be pleased with him). He said: "You people should tear the meat with your teeth, for I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'This satisfies hunger better and does not burden the stomach (the narrator is unsure, perhaps these are the words) it satisfies hunger better and is closer to safety.'"
