Hadith 569
Sayyiduna Muhammad bin Jubair (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from his father: On the day of Arafah, my camel was lost. While searching for it, I came to Arafah and saw the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) standing with the people at Arafah. I thought, "He is associated with Hums (i.e., the Quraysh); what is he doing here?" Sufyan says: Ahmas is called a person who is strict in religious matters. The Quraysh were named Hums because Satan had put them in a misunderstanding. He told them that if you honor a place outside your Haram, people will begin to consider the boundaries of your Haram as inferior. Therefore, they would not go outside the boundaries of the Haram.
