Hadith 524
524 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ: ثنا الزُّهْرِيُّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عُبَيْدَ اللَّهِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: «أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ فَصَامَ حَتَّي إِذَا بَلَغَ الْكَدِيدَ أَفْطَرَ» قَالَ: وَإِنَّمَا يُؤْخَذُ بِالْآخِرِ مِنْ فِعْلِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ لَا أَدْرِي قَالَهُ الزُّهْرِيُّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ أَوْ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: On the occasion of the conquest of Makkah, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) set out from Madinah Munawwarah in the month of Ramadan. He (peace be upon him) was fasting, and when he (peace be upon him) reached the place of Kudayd, he broke his fast. The narrator states: The last practice of the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to be adopted. Sufyan says: I do not know whether Zuhri narrated these words from Ubaydullah or from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him).
