Hadith 448
Hammam bin Harith narrates: We were present with Sayyiduna Hudhayfah bin Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him), when a man passed by us. It was said to Sayyiduna Hudhayfah bin Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him): This is the person who conveys people's words to the rulers (i.e., he is a tale-bearer). So Sayyiduna Hudhayfah bin Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The tale-bearer will not enter Paradise." Sufyan says: The word "al-Qattat" used in the text of the narration means tale-bearer.
