Hadith 439
439 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ الْأَوْدِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْجَدَلِيِّ، عَنْ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ «وَلَوْ أَطْنَبَ السَّائِلُ فِي مَسْأَلَتِهِ لَزَادَهُ»
This narration is also transmitted from another chain on the authority of Sayyiduna Khuzaymah bin Thabit Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him), however, in this version the words are: "If the questioner asked further, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would grant him further permission."
