425 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ: ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَجْلَانَ أَنَّهُمَا سَمِعَا عَامِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ الزُّرَقِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «إِذَا دَخَلَ أَحَدُكُمُ الْمَسْجِدَ فَلْيُصَلِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَجْلِسَ»
Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: He heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: "When a person enters the mosque, he should perform two rak‘ahs (Tahiyyat al-Masjid) before sitting down."
