420 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ: ثنا يَحْيَي بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، وَالْمَسْعُودِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ عَنْ عَمِّهِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زِيدَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِنَحْوِهِ قَالَ الْمَسْعُودِيُّ فَقُلْتُ لِأَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ جَعَلَ الْيَمِينَ عَلَي الشِّمَالِ وَالشِّمَالَ عَلَي الْيَمِينِ، أَوْ جَعَلَ أَعْلَاهُ أَسْفَلَهُ فَقَالَ: لَا بَلْ جَعَلَ الْيَمِينَ عَلَي الشِّمَالَ وَالشِّمَالَ عَلَي الْيَمِينِ
This same narration from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) is also transmitted with another chain of narration. Mas’udi says: I asked Abu Bakr bin Muhammad: (while turning the sheet) should the right side be placed over the left and the left over the right, or should it be turned upside down? He replied: No, the right should be turned to the left side and the left to the right side.
