415 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ: ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنُ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبَايَةَ بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ، عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ قَالَ: أَصَبْنَا إِبِلًا وَغَنَمًا، وَكُنَّا نَعْدِلُ الْبَعِيرَ بِعَشْرٍ مِنَ الْغَنَمِ فَنَدَّ عَلَيْنَا بَعِيرٌ مِنْهَا فَرَمَيْنَاهُ بِالنَّبْلِ، ثُمَّ سَأَلْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: «إِنَّ لِهَذِهِ الْإِبِلِ أَوَابِدَ كَأَوَابِدِ الْوَحْشِ فَإِذَا نَدَّ مِنْهَا شَيْءٌ فَاصْنَعُوا بِهِ ذَلِكَ وَكُلُوهُ» قَالَ سُفْيَانُ وَزَادَ فِيهِ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ فَرَمَيْنَاهُ بِالنَّبْلِ حَتَّي وَهَصْنَاهُ
Sayyiduna Rafi‘ bin Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We acquired some camels and goats, so we considered one camel equal to ten goats. One of the camels became unruly and ran away, so we shot it with an arrow (to stop it). Then we asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about this matter, and he said: “Some camels become wild like wild animals. When any of them becomes wild, then treat it in this manner, and eat it.” Sufyan says: In his narration, Isma‘il bin Muslim has reported these words: “We shot it with an arrow and brought it down to the ground.”
