Hadith 397
397 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ: ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، عَنْ يَعْلَي بْنِ مُمَلَّكٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ الدَّرْدَاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنْ أُعْطِيَ حَظَّهُ مِنَ الرِّفْقِ فَقَدْ أُعْطِيَ حَظَّهُ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ وَمَنْ حُرِمَ حَظَّهُ مِنَ الرِّفْقِ فَقَدْ حُرِمَ حَظَّهُ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ»
Sayyidah Umm Darda’ (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates from Sayyiduna Abu Darda’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever has been given a share of gentleness has been given a share of goodness, and whoever is deprived of a share of gentleness is deprived of a share of goodness.”
