Hadith 384
Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Whoever fasts in Ramadan and then fasts six days in Shawwal, it is as if he has fasted perpetually.
Imam Humaydi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I said to Sufyan, or perhaps it was said to Sufyan: Other people narrate this as a "marfu‘" (attributed to the Prophet) hadith, so he replied: You remain silent regarding this, I know about this matter.
