Hadith 371
371 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ: ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي الْحُسَيْنِ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتَ يَزِيدَ فَقَرَّبَتْ إِلِيَّ قِنَاعًا فِيهِ تَمْرٌ أَوْ رُطَبٌ، فَقَالَتْ: كُلْ، فَقُلْتُ: لَا أَشْتَهِيهِ، فَصَاحَتْ بِي كُلْ فَإِنِّي أَنَا الَّتِي قَيَّنْتُ عَائِشَةَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَتَيْتُهُ بِهَا فَأَجْلَسْتُهَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، فَأَتَي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِإِنَاءٍ فِيهِ لَبَنٌ فَشَرِبَ ثُمَّ نَاوَلَهَا وَطَأْطَأَتْ رَأْسَهَا وَاسْتَحْيَتْ، فَقُلْتُ: خُذِي مِنْ يَدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَخَذَتْ فَشَرِبَتْ ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهَا «نَاوِلِي تِرْبَكِ» فَقُلْتُ: بَلْ أَنْتَ فَاشْرَبْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ نَاوِلْنِي فَشَرِبَ ثُمَّ نَاوَلَنِي، فَأَدَرْتُ الْإِنَاءَ لِأَضَعَ فَمِي عَلَي مَوْضِعِ فِيهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ «أَعْطِي صَوَاحِبَاتِكِ» فَقُلْنَ: لَا نَشْتَهِيهِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا تَجْمَعْنَ كَذِبًا وَجُوعًا» قَالَتْ: فَأَبْصَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَي إِحْدَاهُنَّ سِوَارًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَقَالَ: «أَتُحِبِّينَ أَنْ يُسْوِرَكِ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مَكَانَهُ سِوَارًا مِنْ نَارٍ» قَالَتْ: فَأَعْتَوْنَا عَلَيْهِ حَتَّي نَزَعْنَاهُ فَرَمَيْنَا بِهِ فَمَا نَدْرِي أَيْنَ هُوَ حَتَّي السَّاعَةِ؟ ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أَمَا يَكْفِي إِحْدَاكُنَّ أَنْ تَتَّخِذَ جُمَانًا مِنْ فِضَّةٍ ثُمَّ تَأْخُذَ شَيْئًا مِنْ زَعْفَرَانَ فَتُدِيفَهُ ثُمَّ تُلَطِّخَهُ عَلَيْهِ فَإِذَا هُوَ كَأَنَّهُ ذَهَبٌ»
Shahr bin Hawshab narrates: I presented myself before Sayyida Asma bint Yazid (may Allah be pleased with her), and she offered me a tray in which there were dry and fresh dates. She said: Eat! I submitted: I do not desire it. Then she said to me in a loud voice: Eat! I am the woman who prepared Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) for the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) at the time of marriage. I brought Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and I seated her on his right side. Then a vessel was brought before the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) in which there was milk. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) drank from it, then he offered it to Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), but she lowered her head and felt shy. I said: Take it from the hand of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). She took it and drank. Then the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: "Pass it to your companions of your age." I said: O Messenger of Allah! You drink from it, then give it to me. So the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) drank from it, then he gave it to me. I turned the vessel so that I could place my mouth where the Prophet had placed his. Then the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Give it to your friends as well." Those women said: We do not desire it. So the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not combine falsehood and hunger." That woman narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) saw gold bangles on the hand of one of those girls and said: "Do you like that Allah should make you wear bangles of fire in their place?" That woman narrates: So we took them off and put them aside. We do not know where they are now. Then the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Is it not sufficient for a woman to obtain a bead made of silver, then take a little saffron and mix it with the bead and coat it with it, so it becomes like gold?"
