Hadith 370
370 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ: ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي حُسَيْنٍ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ سَكَنٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهَا تَقُولُ: مَرَّ بِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا فِي نِسْوَةٍ فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْنَا ثُمَّ قَالَ: «إِيَّاكُنَّ وَكُفْرَ الْمُنْعِمِينَ» قُلْتُ: وَمَا كُفْرُ الْمُنْعِمِينَ؟ قَالَ «لَعَلَّ إِحْدَاكُنَّ أَنْ تَطُولَ أَيْمَتُهَا بَيْنَ أَبَوَيْهَا وَتَعْنِسُ، ثُمَّ يَرْزُقُهَا اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ زَوْجًا وَيَرْزُقُهَا مِنْهُ مَالًا وَوَلَدًا فَتَغْضَبُ الْغَضْبَةَ فَتَكْفُرَهَا، فَتَقُولُ مَا رَأَيْتُ مِنْكَ مَكَانَ يَوْمٍ بِخَيْرٍ قَطُّ»
Sayyida Asma bint Yazid (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: Once the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by me while I was sitting with some women. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) greeted us with salam, then he said: "Beware of being ungrateful to those who bestow favors." I asked: What is meant by being ungrateful to those who bestow favors? The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A woman, after being widowed or divorced, or before marriage, stays with her parents for a long time. Then Allah Almighty grants her a husband, and Allah Almighty grants her wealth and children through that husband. But (at some point) she becomes angry and is ungrateful to him and says: I have never seen any good from you, not even for a single day."
