Hadith 366
Hafsa bint Sirin narrates: We asked Sayyida Umm Atiyya (may Allah be pleased with her): Did you hear this from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) himself? She replied: Yes, by my father. The female narrator says: It was the habit of Sayyida Umm Atiyya (may Allah be pleased with her) that whenever she narrated something from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), she would also say, "By my father." She said: I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) say: "On Eid day, bring out even the young veiled women (from their homes) so that they may participate in Eid and the supplications of the Muslims. However, menstruating women should stay away from the place of prayer of the Muslims."
