339 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ: ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ السَّعِيدِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أُمِّ خَالِدٍ بِنْتِ خَالِدٍ قَالَتْ: قَدِمْتُ مِنْ أَرْضِ الْحَبَشَةِ وَأنا جُوَيْرِيَةٌ فَكَسَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَمِيصَةً لَهَا أَعْلَامٌ فَجَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَمْسَحُ الْأَعْلَامَ بِيَدِهِ، وَيَقُولُ «سَنَاهُ سَنَاهُ» قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ يَعْنِي حَسَنٌ حَسَنٌ
Sayyida Umm Khalid (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I came from the land of Abyssinia when I was a young girl. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave me a sheet to wear which had designs on it. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was passing his blessed hand over those designs and saying: How beautiful these are. How beautiful these are.
Imam Humaydi (may Allah have mercy on him) says: (The word "sanah" used in the text of the narration) means to be good.
