330 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ: أَخْبَرُونِي عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ أُمِّ كُلْثُومٍ بِنْتِ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ أَبِي مَعِيطٍ قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «أَفْضَلُ الصَّدَقَةِ عَلَي ذِي الرَّحِمِ الْكَاشِحِ» قَالَ سُفْيَانُ: وَلَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ مِنَ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: الْكَاشِحُ الْعَدَوُّ
Sayyidah Umm Kulthum bint Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The best charity is that which is given to a relative who harbors enmity." Sufyan says: I have not heard this narration from Zuhri.
Imam Humaydi (may Allah have mercy on him) says: The meaning of the word «كاشح» (used in the text of the narration) is 'enemy.'
