Hadith 328
328 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ: ثنا أَبُو الْمُحَيَّاةِ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ: لَمَّا قَتَلَ الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ دَخَلَ الْحَجَّاجُ عَلَي أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ فَقَالَ لَهَا: يَا أُمَّهْ إِنَّ أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَوْصَانِي بِكِ، فَهَلْ لَكِ مِنْ حَاجَةٍ؟ قَالَتْ: مَالِي مِنْ حَاجَةٍ وَلَسْتُ لَكَ بِأُمٍّ وَلَكِنِّي أُمُّ الْمَصْلُوبِ عَلَي رَأْسِ الثَّنِيَّةِ وَلَكِنِ انْتَظِرْ أُحَدِّثْكَ مَا سَمِعْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «يَخْرُجُ مِنْ ثَقِيفٍ كَذَّابٌ وَمُبِيرٌ» فَأَمَّا الْكَذَّابُ فَقَدْ رَأَيْنَاهُ يَعْنِي الْمُخْتَارَ وَأَمَّا الْمُبِيرُ فَأَنْتَ فَقَالَ الْحَجَّاجُ: مُبِيرٌ لِلْمُنَافِقِينَ
Abu Muhayyah narrates from his father: When Hajjaj bin Yusuf martyred Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him), Hajjaj came to the service of Sayyidah Asma bint Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with her) and requested her: O mother! The Commander of the Faithful has instructed me regarding you, so do you have any need? Sayyidah Asma (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I have no need, and I am not your mother. I am the mother of the one who was crucified at the edge of the valley. Wait! I will tell you something that I heard from the tongue of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: From the tribe of Thaqif, there will arise a liar who will claim prophethood and a bloodshedder." As for the liar, we have already seen him. By Sayyidah Asma (may Allah be pleased with her), she meant Mukhtar Thaqafi, and as for the bloodshedder, that is you. So Hajjaj said: I am the one who sheds the blood of hypocrites.
