Hadith 311
311 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ: ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الشَّعْثَاءِ جَابِرُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ: أَخْبَرَتْنِي مَيْمُونَةُ «أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ تَغْتَسِلُ هِيَ وَالنَّبِيُّ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ» ثُمَّ قَالَ سُفْيَانَ: هَذَا الْإِسْنَادُ كَانَ يُعْجِبُ شُعْبَةَ سَمِعْتُ، أَخْبَرَنِي، سَمِعْتُ، أَخْبَرَنِي كَأَنَّهُ اشْتَهَي تَوْصِيلَهُ
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) told me that she and the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to perform ghusl from the same vessel. Sufyan narrated this, and Shu’bah liked this chain very much (in which these words are present): “I heard, he told me; I heard, he told me.” It is as if he wished that this narration would be connected (musnad).
