Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: Some gold came to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him); it came to him at night. It was more than seven and less than nine. Before morning came, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) distributed it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What would Muhammad think about his Lord if he were to pass away and this gold was still with him?" Sufyan says: I think this was zakat gold that came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), or it was the right of some person about which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) feared that it might be lost.
