Hadith 260
260 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا الْفُضَيْلُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ، عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ الْمُعْتَمِرِ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: «مَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُنْتَصِرًا مِنْ مَظْلِمَةٍ ظُلِمَهَا قَطُّ مَا لَمْ تُنْتَهَكْ مَحَارِمُ اللَّهِ فَإِذَا انْتُهِكَ مِنْ مَحَارِمِ اللَّهِ شَيْءٌ كَانَ أَشَدَّهُمْ فِي ذَلِكَ غَضَبًا، وَمَا خُيِّرَ بَيْنَ أَمْرَيْنِ إِلَّا اخْتَارَ أَيْسَرَهُمَا مَا لَمْ يَكُنْ مَأْثَمًا»
Umm al-Mu’minin Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I never saw the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) seeking help against any injustice done to himself, unless one of the sanctities of Allah was violated. And when anything from the sanctities of Allah was violated, he (peace be upon him) would become extremely angry regarding it. Whenever the Prophet (peace be upon him) was given a choice between two matters, he would choose the easier of the two, as long as it was not a sinful act.
