Hadith 256
256 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ: ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ التَّيْمِيُّ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: كَانَ حَبَشٌ يَلْعَبُونَ بِحِرَابٍ لَهُمْ فَكُنْتُ أَنْظُرُ مِنْ بَيْنَ أُذُنَيْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعَاتِقِهِ حَتَّي كُنْتُ أَنَا الَّتِي صَدَدْتُ، زَادَ يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ فِي حَدِيثِهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَا مِنْهُمْ أَحَدٌ إِلَّا الشَّيْطَانُ آخِذٌ بِثَوْبِهِ، يَقُولُ: انْظُرْ " فَلَمَّا جَاءَ عُمَرُ تَفَرَّقَتِ الشَّيَاطِينُ قَالَتْ: وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ «الْعَبُوا يَا بَنِي أَرْفَدَةَ تَعْلَمَ الْيَهُودُ وَالنَّصَارَي أَنَّ فِي دِينِنَا فُسْحَةً» قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: فَلَمْ أَحْفَظْ مِنْ قَوْلِهِمْ غَيْرَ هَذِهِ الْكَلِمَةِ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ طَيِّبٌ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ طَيِّبٌ
Umm al-Mu’minin Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Abyssinians were displaying war tricks with their small spears, so I was watching them from between the ears and shoulders of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) until I myself moved back. Ya’qub bin Zaid, in his narration, has further added these words: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) further said: “Satan grabs the clothes of each one of them and says, ‘You watch,’ but when Umar came, the devils scattered here and there.” Umm al-Mu’minin Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “O Banu Arfidah! Continue your display so that the Jews and Christians may know that there is allowance in our religion.” Umm al-Mu’minin Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: Of the words they were uttering, I only remember this much, that they were saying, “Abul Qasim is pure, Abul Qasim is pure.”
