253 - قَالَ سُفْيَانُ فَلَمَّا جَاءَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ حَدَّثَنَا بِأَحْسَنَ مِنْهُ وَأَرْخَصَ، وَقَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَائِشَةَ تَقُولُ: قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَدْ سُتِرْتُ عَلَي سَهْوَةِ لِي بِقِرَامٍ لِي فِيهِ تَمَاثِيلُ، فَلَمَّا رَآهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَزَعَهُ، وَقَالَ: «إِنَّ أَشَدَّ النَّاسِ عَذَابًا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ الَّذِينَ يُضَاهُونَ بِخَلْقِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ» قَالَتْ: فَقَطَعْنَا مِنْهُ وِسَادَةً أَوْ وِسَادَتَيْنِ
Sufyan says: When Abdur Rahman bin Qasim came to us, he narrated this tradition to us in a better way, in which there was more concession. He said: My father told me this, he heard Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrate: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) came, and I had hung a curtain in my room which had pictures on it. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw it, he took it down. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection, the people who will receive the severest punishment from Allah will be those who compete with Him regarding His creation." The Mother of the Believers, Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), narrates: I cut it up and made one (the narrator is in doubt, perhaps these are the words) or two cushions from it.
