242 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا وَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ: وَسَمِعْتُ ابْنَ جُرَيْجٍ يُحَدِّثُ بِهِ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ فَقَالَ فِيهِ: «أَلَمْ تَرَي أَنَّ مُحَرِّزًا الْمُدْلِجِيَّ» فَقُلْتُ: يَا أَبَا الْوَلِيدِ إِنَّمَا هُوَ مُجَزِّزٌ الْمُدْلِجِيُّ فَانْكَسَرَ وَرَجَعَ
In one narration, these words are mentioned: "Have you seen Mu'zzaz Mudlaji?" The narrator says: I said to my teacher: Abu al-Walid, his name is Mu'zzaz Mudlaji, so he, displaying humility, retracted (from his mistake).
