Hadith 236
236 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ: ثَنِي إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الشَّعْبِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ تَقُولَ «قَدْ خَيَّرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نِسَاءَهُ فَاخْتَرْنَهُ، أَوْ كَانَ ذَلِكَ طَلَاقًا»
Mother of the Believers, Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) gave his wives the option, so the wives chose him. Was this considered a divorce?
