Hadith 233
233 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ: ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ وَكَانَ مِنْ جَيِّدِ مَا يَرْوِيهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: «تَزَوَّجَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا بِنْتُ سِتِّ سِنِينَ أَوْ سَبْعِ سِنِينَ، وَبَنَي بِي وَأَنَا بِنْتُ تِسْعٍ»
Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: "When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) married me, I was six years old (the narrator is in doubt, perhaps these are the words) or seven years old, and when I was sent to his house, I was nine years old."
