Hadith 219
219 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُهْدِيَ مَرَّةً غَنَمًا» قَالَ الْحُمَيْدِيُّ زَادَنِي أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ فِيهِ «فَقَلَّدَهَا»
Mother of the Believers, Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once sent goats as sacrificial animals (hadi).
Imam Humaydi (may Allah have mercy on him) says: The narrator named Abu Muawiyah has transmitted these additional words in this narration: "The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had adorned them with necklaces."
