Narration on Scraping Clothes after Janabah
Hadith 186
186 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ ثنا مَنْصُورٌ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ هَمَّامٍ قَالَ: ضَافَ عَائِشَةَ ضَيْفٌ فَأَرْسَلَتْ إِلَيْهِ تَدْعُوهُ، فَقَالُوا لَهَا إِنَّهُ أَصَابَتْهُ جَنَابَةٌ فَذَهَبَ يَغْسِلُ ثَوْبَهُ فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: «وَلِمَ غَسَلَهُ؟ إِنِّي كُنْتُ لَأَفْرُكُ الْمَنِيَّ مِنْ ثَوْبِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ»
Hammam, the narrator, reports: A man became a guest of Umm al-Mu'mineen, Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her). Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) sent a message to call him, but people informed Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that he had become junub, so he had gone to wash his clothes. Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) inquired: Why is he washing them? I used to scrape semen off the garment of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).
