Narration on the Breeze of Paradise and the Swiftness of Azib
Hadith 129
129 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ: ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ جُعْدُبَةَ اللَّيْثِيُّ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ مِخْرَاقٍ يَحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَلَقَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ رِيحًا بَعْدَ الرِّيحِ تِسْعَ سِنِينَ، وَإِنَّ مِنْ دُونِهَا بَابًا مُغْلَقًا، وَإِنَّمَا يَأْتِيكُمُ الرِّيحُ مِنْ خَلَلِ ذَلِكَ الْبَابِ وَلَوْ فُتِحَ لَأَذْرَتْ مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ مِنْ شَيْءٍ وَهِيَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ الْأَزْيَبُ وَهِيَ فِيكُمُ الْجَنُوبُ»
Sayyiduna Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty created a fragrance in Paradise seven years after creating the wind in Paradise. In front of it is a closed door. This wind comes to you through the wide space between the doors present in that door. If that door were to be opened, this wind would reach everything present in the heavens and the earth. With Allah Almighty is Azib (that is, the swiftly blowing wind). Among you, this is the wind that comes from the south."
