Hadith 83
83 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، ثنا الزُّهْرِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنِي طَلْحَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَوْفِ ابْنُ أَخِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ نُفَيْلٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ ظَلَمَ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ شِبْرًا طُوِّقَهُ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ، وَمَنْ قُتِلَ دُونَ مَالِهِ فَهُوَ شَهِيدٌ» - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قِيلَ لِسُفْيَانَ فَإِنًّ مَعْمَرًا يُدْخِلُ بَيْنَ طَلْحَةَ وَبَيْنَ سَعِيدٍ رَجُلًا فَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ: مَا سَمِعْتُ الزُّهْرِيَّ أَدْخَلَ بَيْنَهُمَا أَحَدًا
Sayyiduna Sa'id bin Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever seizes a span of land unjustly, a collar as heavy as seven earths will be placed around his neck (on the Day of Resurrection), and whoever is killed while protecting his wealth is a martyr."
83/م - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قِيلَ لِسُفْيَانَ فَإِنًّ مَعْمَرًا يُدْخِلُ بَيْنَ طَلْحَةَ وَبَيْنَ سَعِيدٍ رَجُلًا فَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ: مَا سَمِعْتُ الزُّهْرِيَّ أَدْخَلَ بَيْنَهُمَا أَحَدًا
Imam Humayd, may Allah have mercy on him, says: It was said to Sufyan: The narrator named Mu‘ammar has reported the addition of another person between Talhah and Sa‘id. So Sufyan said: I did not hear al-Zuhri mention anyone else between the two of them.
