Importance of reciting the Quran melodiously
Hadith 76
76 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي نَهِيكٍ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ لَمْ يَتَغَنَّ بِالْقُرْآنِ» قَالَ سُفْيَانُ يَعْنِي يَسْتَغْنِي بِهِ
Sayyiduna Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever does not recite the Qur’an with a pleasant voice is not from among us.” Sufyan says: This means to recite in a good voice.
