Hadith 989
989 - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّي اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، مِثْلَهُ، إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «لِلْأَمِيرِ إِمَامَةٌ»
This narration is also transmitted from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) with another chain of transmission, however, in this version the words are: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The leader has the right to lead the prayer."
