Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "We are the last (in this world) and the first (on the Day of Resurrection). This is because the Book was given to those people before us and the Book was given to us after them, and this (i.e., Friday) is the day about which they differed, so Allah guided us regarding this day, so in relation to this day, people follow us. The (special religious) day of the Jews is tomorrow (i.e., Saturday), and the special religious day of the Christians is the day after tomorrow (i.e., Sunday)."
