972 - وَقَالَ: " اشْتَكَتِ النَّارُ إِلَي رَبِّهَا، فَقَالَتْ: رَبِّ أَكَلَ بَعْضِي بَعْضًا، فَأَذِنَ لَهَا بِنَفَسَيْنِ، نَفَسٌ فِي الشِّتَاءِ، وَنَفَسٌ فِي الصَّيْفِ، فَأَشَدُّ مَا تَجِدُونَ مِنَ الْحَرِّ مِنْ حَرِّهَا، وَأَشَدُّ مَا تَجِدُونَ مِنَ الْبَرْدِ فَمِنْ زَمْهَرِيرِهَا "
(The narrator states:) The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also said: Hell complained to its Lord, saying: O my Lord! One part of me is consuming another part. So Allah Almighty allowed it to breathe twice: once in the cold and once in the heat. Thus, when you experience the most intense heat, it is the result of its hot breath, and when you experience the most intense cold, it is the result of its cold breath.
