Sulaiman bin Ghatiq narrates: I heard Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) saying this from the pulpit: He says: I heard Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) saying: "Offering one prayer in Masjid al-Haram is better than offering one hundred prayers in any other mosque."
Imam Humaydi says: Sufyan has narrated this, and the scholars hold the view: Offering prayer in Masjid al-Haram is better than offering one hundred thousand prayers in any other mosque, except for Masjid al-Nabawi, as Masjid al-Haram has one hundred times more virtue compared to Masjid al-Nabawi.
